Crocs Releases Matching Shoes for Dogs, Owners
It's sometimes said that, over time, people and their pets start to look more and more like one another.
This is just a myth, of course. But if you do want to look more like your pet, there's a shoe company that can help.
Crocs, the company known for its comfortable, colorful footwear, has released matching crocs for dogs and their owners.
The dog shoes have been designed by Crocs and a New York pet supply company called Bark, and they've been made for "stylish walks all year round."
The matching shoes come in two glow-in-the-dark colors — "green slime" and "pink dragon fruit." They were released on October 23, which the shoe company calls "Croc Day."
They're only on sale for a limited time, and they're available in three different sizes. The shoes are suitable for dogs who weigh up to 36 kilograms.
The shoe company — which made almost $4 billion in 2023 — often sells special products at the time of year it likes to call "Croctober."
And if there's one thing pet owners — or pet "parents" as they're sometimes called — like to do, it's to spoil their animals.
According to the American Pet Products Association, pet owners in the US spent about $147 billion on their pets in 2023.
And the dog crocs will cost owners another $50.
While dogs don't usually need shoes, they can help keep your pet's feet safe if you're walking somewhere dangerous. Shoes might also help if you live in a place that gets very cold in the winter, or if your dog will be walking on very hot roads in the summer.
